The Washington Post is reporting that the Pentagon is planning to create a special task force of National Guard troops that would be deployed to deal with riots and civil unrest in U.S. cities.
Named the “Domestic Civil Disturbance Quick Reaction Force,” it would comprise at least 600 National Guard troops, according to the report, who would be able to deploy to any city with just an hour’s notice.
The development comes after President Trump ordered troops deployed to Washington D.C. Monday to crack down on crime and uphold law and order.
Breaking news: The Trump administration is considering making a military “reaction force” for civil unrest that would have 600 troops remain on standby to deploy in as little as one hour, according to internal Pentagon documents reviewed by The Post. https://t.co/BGUm7J2sR0

The report suggests that the task force would be split into two groups of 300 troops each, one group being stationed in Arizona and the other in Alabama. Each group would respectively be assigned to respond to unrest west and east of the Mississippi River.
The DoD is keen on the move after what it views as a great success in Los Angeles in June when 2,000 National Guardsmen were sent to the city in response to violent anti-immigration enforcement uprisings by leftists.
“The Department of Defense is a planning organization and routinely reviews how the department would respond to a variety of contingencies across the globe,” a defense official said in a statement.
“We will not discuss these plans through leaked documents, pre-decisional or otherwise” the spokesperson added.
Democrats and their leftist mouthpieces have accused Trump of trying to create his own domestic police force, while arguing that violent crime is at a three decade low in the capital.
Violent crime in Washington, D.C. is at a thirty-year low.
Donald Trump has no basis to take over the local police department.
And zero credibility on the issue of law and order.
Get lost.

However, D.C. police are under fire for downplaying crime stats, and homicides are at a near 20 year high.

I suggest each of them stroll around DC after dark a few nights and then report back on their experience.

Interesting, never seen a 30 year low that wasn’t low.
