Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL) is under investigation after a former girlfriend accused him of threatening to share sexually explicit material with her future romantic partners.
Lindsey Langston, a Republican state committeewoman and 2024 Miss United States winner, filed a report with the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and spoke to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement regarding the alleged threats.
Langston told authorities that she began a relationship with Mills in November 2021, shortly after meeting him, under the impression that he was finalizing a divorce.
The report, first published by The Blaze, details how the couple kept their relationship private as Mills pursued his political career.
According to Langston, Mills frequently expressed interest in marriage and starting a family.
“He’s talking about, you know, ‘I’m getting older. I would like to have other children. How do you feel about starting to try?’” she told the outlet.
She said she refused to move in with him until his divorce was finalized.
Believing the divorce to be complete, Langston moved into a beach house in New Smyrna, Florida, with Mills during the summer of 2024.
Mills also maintained a separate penthouse apartment in Washington, D.C., for which he owed more than $85,000 in unpaid rent between March and July 2025.
Their relationship reportedly grew increasingly tumultuous.
Langston alleges she witnessed Mills taking “affectionate photos” with other women, endured last-minute cancellations during holidays and saw strangers deliver cash to him.
The couple ended their relationship in February following an incident involving Mills and another woman, Sarah Raviani, who called police alleging domestic violence.
Charges were never filed, and Raviani later recanted her claims, according to The Daily Caller.
After the breakup, Langston claims Mills continued contacting her and threatened to share sexually explicit videos and images with any future romantic partners.
Screenshots provided to The Blaze allegedly show Mills writing, “You want to date or be with someone else. Be my guest… They better damn well know it’s coming every time,” and, “I can send him a few videos of you as well.”
Langston filed her report with law enforcement on July 14.
The police report details that Mills allegedly threatened her on multiple accounts, including text and Instagram messages, while referencing her intimate videos.
Florida law classifies such actions as sexual extortion, a second-degree felony.
Mills has not been charged in connection with the allegations.
His office told the Daily Caller News Foundation that it was unaware of the police report and characterized the accusations as politically motivated.
Mills stated, “These claims are false and misrepresent the nature of my interactions. I have always conducted myself with integrity, both personally and in service to Florida’s 7th District.”
Langston’s attorney, Anthony Sabatini, who previously ran against Mills in the 2022 Republican primary, criticized law enforcement for giving Mills preferential treatment due to his congressional position.
“This is sexual extortion and sexual blackmail to an extreme degree and a clear violation of Florida’s extortion statute, section 836.06,” Sabatini said.
He suggested that if Mills weren’t a political figure, the investigation would likely have progressed more quickly and resulted in his arrest.
