Tallahassee Totalllytarians Go After the Reclaim Campaign
Florida is NOT a free state, regardless of the $60k boast of its Governor, as above. Put simply, the Governor who spent taxpayer money to put his name on roadways in 25+ places in the state, does NOT treat his citizens as if they were free. Blows his own carefully crafted image.
Instead, Ron DeSantis’s Republican Party tries to prevent its citizens from free association and query, as you’ve heard me tell many times before.
This time, they are trying to prohibit people from associating with the “Reclaim Campaign”, a group founded around election integrity.
It is clear that operatives in Tallahassee do NOT believe in the Constitution of the United States of America. In this country, under our laws, citizens have the right to free assembly, and free speech. How hard is that to remember?
As many of you know, I have covered many of the un-American activities of the RPOF in the last 18 months or so. Go to my substack, https://www.pat4evr.substack.com and you will find over a dozen articles.
In the last years, the Party organization, led by Chr. Evan Power, and Bill Helmich, named by Power as Interim Executive Director, have unconstitutionally attacked America First Republicans all over the state.
Now, they are doing it again, but first, let me remind you of past events.
*The Florida Republican Assembly (FRA), in April 2024, was issued a “cease and desist” order, to stop using the name, “Republican”, and the symbol of the elephant.
*Duly elected State Committeeman and State Committeewoman, Trent Wayman and Jaquie Heisse from Manatee County were summarily removed from office, using a fabricated lie about a “crime”, and undisclosed examples of “internal turmoil”.
*A long-time Trump supporter, Peter Feaman, was removed from his voting position in the state delegation for the July 2024 National Republican Convention. Mr. Feaman wrote a letter to the public about what the RPOF had done. He is now in DC working for the Trump White House. His letter appears in my Substack article of May 19, 2024.
*Nearly a dozen other county Republican Committees have been interfered with by the RPOF: agendas AND slates of proposed officers altered; attendees asked to leave; law enforcement removing citizens who tried to enter meetings. Similar totalitarian acts.
This time, they have gone after the “Reclaim Campaign”, the purpose of which is to help citizens to vet their local officials and candidates, and get the best people into office. Somehow, to the RPOF, this is illegal. More like uncomfortable, I’d say.
Helmich says that the Reclaim Campaign is contacting many members of county REC’s under the “guise of election reform and accountability”. Only the hard Left has a problem with those two things.
Helmich goes on to say that “Association, participation, and activities with this group (violate) our Rules of Procedure.” He complains that Reclaim has positioned itself as a watchdog over Republican candidates and campaign activities.
Are you worried about exposing your “Dark Money” here, Bill?
From the Sarasota Phoenix, “the Reclaim Campaign shares best practices from partner groups on early fundraising strategies, enabling local groups to compete in primaries – primaries where the establishment is actively preserving the status quo through backroom deals and top-down control.” Sounds pretty accurate to me, given all else of the totalitarian nature that has come from Tallahassee in recent years.
Here are excerpts from the recent letter sent by Helmich and the RPOF to county Republican Executive Committees about “Reclaim”:
“It has come to our attention that the Reclaim Campaign which is operating under the banner of election reform and accountability is reaching out to many state Executive Committee members. Association, participation and activities with this group violate Rule 23 of our Rules and Procedures.
RULE 23 explicitly prohibits any Republican County Executive Committee or chartered organization from endorsing, supporting or affiliating non-partisan or bi-partisan groups established to monitor or regulate political campaigns.
Read RULE 23 again. This is from the Florida state Republican organization!
The Reclaim Campaign’s actions, from public criticism of Republican candidates to attempts to influence internal Party dynamics through external pressure, are not only divisive but also undermine the foundational principles of our Party.” On WHAT is the RPOF founded, may we ask? Certainly not those principles of our Republic.
The RPOF has basically issued a “cease and desist” order to prevent county Republican Executive Committees from having anything to do with “Reclaim”.
IS THIS STILL AMERICA?? THAT GOOD RED STATE?!?!?
Let me pause here. I need to settle my stomach.
The FIRST AMENDMENT of our US Constitution says: Congress shall make no law…abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press, or the right of the people peaceably to assembly and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
However, in RPOF RULE 23, interaction with other groups is forbidden. See Rule 23, again, above.
Tallahassee clearly believes that their cabal is legally superior to our founding document! How DARE citizens try to unearth and address problems, they think??
The Helmich letter continues:
“Let me be clear. The Republican Party of Florida welcomes robust debate and diverse perspectives within our ranks. (emphasis mine.) But we cannot and WILL not tolerate organized efforts that violate our rules.”
THE RULES WHICH VIOLATE OUR US CONSTITUTION, BILL?? THOSE RULES??
Helmich says to contact the RPOF if you have any questions. SURE. That’s going to do a lot of good, with the Globalist Totalitarians in Tallahassee, holding pro-American citizens captive.
I do wonder if there are others, among the elected legislators in the state Capital, who disagree with Helmich and the gang. As it is, there has been a deafening silence from both houses of government, so we must assume that those who might disagree have been throttled.
THOSE who have allowed themselves to be sidelined, are THE PERFECT candidates for losing their next elections! Help out with that. Florida, you need to CLEAN HOUSE. AND SENATE.
The Reclaim Campaign is holding an event this coming Saturday, July 26, in Venice, FL. Tickets and information is available on their website. A small, $30 fee, covers the admission, all sessions, a lunch buffet and non-alcoholic beverages, and an ACTION PLAN PACKET. Here’s the link for reservations.
Go, if at all possible!!
I dare say that the most valuable part of that entire day will be making contact with other Constitutional Americans who believe in the rule of our laws. This is exactly the kind of event I’ve been talking about when I implore people to “get off the couch and out the door”. Wish I could be there.
This is DeSantis’s Florida. He has learned the Globalists’ lessons well. Today, I just learned something from the Sunshine “wayback” machine.
The purge of county RECS actually began nearly 20 years ago, under Governor Rick Scott. A long-time patriot and activist in the state, shared her story with me. She was Sec/Treas/Media outreach person, for her county’s Republican Executive Committee, when she and other die-hard constitutionalists were caught up in an Oath “paperwork submission” problem. She and 20 others were not told the due date for submission, then were tossed from the REC for not submitting their paperwork in time.
Seems to be a favorite trick of Lefties to get rid of those they fear. Alfie Oakes, the organic farmer from Naples, and an old friend, Nick Freitas, of Virginia, have both experienced similar. I’m sure there have been dozens if not hundreds more, whose stories will fade with the passage of time, but this kind of action keeps on hurting good people.
The attack on “Reclaim” is only the latest in a string of unconstitutional moves from Tallahassee against America First Republicans, and our Constitution. There will be more, sadly, and they will continue until We the People loudly signal “ENOUGH”!!
Join in the Reclaim Campaign, and do everything you can to make it to this Saturday’s event. If you are NOT from Florida, get out and work with your own town and your own issues. EVERY town and state has some!
THAT is how we win back our country. That is how we say, “enough”!
By the way, that $60k DeSantis spent on roadsigns bearing his name and the “Free State” farce, was 40% of what he vetoed and took away from the Santa Rosa Veterans Treatment Court last week.
Just sayin’.
