The Scottie Scheffler fart-gate took a brand new twist.
On the 17th hole at the British Open last Thursday, when Scheffler was chipping to the green, the broadcast feed picked up someone passing gas.
While some thought a fan was the culprit, Scheffler completely changed the narrative this week.
Scheffler was featured on Barstool Sports’ “Pardon My Take” podcast and shed light on who is really to blame for the incident — himself.
“Yeah, that was me,” Scheffler admitted on the show. “Oh yeah, that was me. “You’re out there for like six hours, you’re eating some different food over there. Some stuff is going to happen.”
