You know… I wasn’t a big fan of the “Big Beautiful Bill”, and still am not thrilled with it.. But after reading this, I’m becoming more open minded to that bill. Five San Francisco area Planned Parenthood abortion mills and organ harvesting centers have been forced to shut down, and they are blaming the “Big Beautiful Bill”.
Also kind of amazing after the USAID slush fund was canceled too.
Planned Parenthood Mar Monte permanently shut the doors on five of its Northern California health centers Thursday, saying its hand was forced by President Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill.
The nonprofit is closing its South San Francisco, San Mateo, Gilroy, Westside/Santa Cruz, and Madera locations.
“We really feel like we are in the fight of our life,” said Stacy Cross, president and CEO Planned Parenthood Mar Monte.
Mar Monte is the largest Planned Parenthood region in the country, serving mid California and Nevada. It is also cutting the centers’ family medicine, behavioral health, and prenatal care services, which in just the past year served more than 22,000 mostly low-income patients.
“We have called every patient to reschedule who had an appointment. We are also calling all our patients that have continuous care, like primary care or prenatal care. Those services we are sunsetting, so we are continuing to provide that care at another center,” said Cross.
