Suspected political assassin Vance Boelter sent Alpha News a cryptic statement from jail about his confession letter that was released by federal authorities last week.
In that handwritten confession letter, Boelter claimed that Gov. Tim Walz ordered him to carry out the killings. He said that he was “trained by U.S. Military people off the books” and that Gov. Walz wanted him to kill U.S. Sens. Amy Klobuchar and Tina Smith.
Gov. Walz has not responded to Alpha News’ repeated requests for comment on the letter.
In the suspicious statement to Alpha News, Boelter referenced an “undercover investigation” and connections between Minnesota politicians and the Chinese government. Gov. Walz’s numerous trips to China became a major issue of his 2024 vice presidential run as the U.S. House Oversight Committee launched an investigation into the governor’s “longstanding connections to Chinese Communist Party (CCP) entities and officials.”
Vance Boelter’s latest statement on ‘undercover investigation’
“Prior to June 14. Unknown to his wife, family, friends, and coworkers, Dr. Vance Boelter EdD had conducted a two-year long, undercover investigation into the sudden, and unexpected deaths of 400 Minnesota citizens, and ties between Minnesota politicians and the Chinese government,” Boelter wrote. “Evidence will be forthcoming.”
He said that he wanted to further explain the statements that he previously made to the media about his “undercover investigation” and taking jobs in the funeral and mortuary industry. Boelter also launched an unsuccessful private security company.
While referring to himself as “Dr. Vance Boelter EdD,” he mentioned that “evidence will be forthcoming.” Beyond that, he offered no other details.
When specifically asked about how politics were involved, Boelter answered: “Well, it’s where the facts lead you—and where the evidence leads you.”
Boelter has been indicted on six counts by federal authorities—and could face the death penalty—stemming from the murders of Minnesota Rep. Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark; the shootings of Sen. John Hoffman, and his wife Yvette; and the attempted shooting of their daughter Hope.
In commenting on Boelter’s confession letter last week, Acting U.S. Attorney Joe Thompson described it as a “delusion” that “certainly seems designed to excuse his crimes.”
