The Press are reporting that at the get together of Premiers in Ontario three of them signed a Memo Of Understanding.
I quote CTV News :
“Earlier on Tuesday, Ford ( Premier of Ontario)signed a memorandum of understanding with Alberta Premier Danielle Smith and Saskatchewan Premier Scott Moe to build new pipelines, rail lines and other energy and trade infrastructure.”
That is Ontario, Alberta and Saskatchewan—-where are BC, Manitoba , Quebec, and the Four Atlantic Provinces? Would be nice to have some tide water, Pacific Ocean, Hudson’s Bay. Atlantic Ocean???
Is this supposed to send a message to the Americans in the ongoing trade talks that the internal trade barriers among Provinces is gone??? Three out of ten? Pretty feeble message methinks.
And top that off with this being a Memo of Understanding —no legally binding agreement here!! No Legislation etc.
We sure like talk , committees and Memos of Understanding don’t we?
