RIDGEWOOD, NY – A tragic scene unfolded in a quiet Queens neighborhood on Monday evening, leaving two people dead and one critically injured. Police are investigating a triple stabbing that occurred inside an apartment on Forest Avenue, near Moynihan Street.
Authorities identified the deceased as a 41-year-old woman and a two-year-old girl, both found with fatal stab wounds. The third individual, a 54-year-old man, survived but remains in critical condition at Elmhurst Hospital.
The alleged attacker, believed to be the 54-year-old man, reportedly made a FaceTime call during the incident. A family member on the call witnessed the attack and immediately contacted 911, prompting a swift response from the authorities.
Paramedics arrived to a gruesome scene, discovering all three with stab wounds to the chest. The woman and child also sustained injuries to their necks. Despite efforts to save them, the woman and child succumbed to their injuries.
Neighbors expressed shock and disbelief, describing the family as quiet and unassuming. One resident recounted seeing the man the day before, carrying laundry and appearing normal.
Investigators are working to determine the relationships between the victims. As of now, no arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
