July 19, Queens, New York — Authorities say three individuals, including a 2-year-old child, are in critical condition following a violent incident at a home on Forest Avenue near Menahan Street in Queens.
According to police sources, officers responded around 7:09 p.m. to a report of an assault in progress. Upon arrival, they discovered three victims suffering from multiple stab wounds:
A 54-year-old was found with a stab wound to the chest and transported to Elmhurst Hospital in critical condition.
A 41-year-old sustained multiple stab wounds to the neck and chest and was pronounced dead at Elmhurst Hospital.
A 2-year-old child was found with multiple stab wounds to the neck and chest and was rushed to Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in critical condition.
Officials say a person of interest is in custody. The motive behind the attack remains unknown, and the investigation is ongoing.
