New York City Democratic Mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani is the Marxist gift that just keeps on giving. His previous words on the abolishment of private property make it crystal clear that he’s a brazen communist, no matter how much he denies it.
A video has resurfaced that makes the so-called socialist candidate’s affinity for the “abolition of private property” very, very apparent.
Seizure of private property
“My platform is that every single person should have housing, and I think faced with these two options, the system has hundreds of thousands of people unhoused, right? For what?” Mamdani asked in a video that has gone viral on social media.
“If there was any system that could guarantee each person housing, whether you call it the abolition of private property or you call it, you know, just a statewide housing guarantee, it is preferable to what is going on right now,” he asserted.
“People try and play like gotcha games about these kinds of things, and it’s like, look, I care more about whether somebody has a home,” the Democratic Socialist said.

Straight-up communism
Anyone with two functioning brain cells immediately branded Mamdani’s statements for what they are –communist precepts straight out of Karl Marx’s manifesto.
GOP Rep. Nicole Malliotakis told Fox News Digital, “He claims to be a socialist, whether it’s wanting to abolish private property or wanting to seize the means of production, these are communist ideas right out of the playbook of Karl Marx.”
“The fact that too many members of the media, too many members of the Democrat Party, are willing to go along instead of calling him out on it is disturbing, and I think that if the majority of New Yorkers knew what this guy truly stands for and how destructive and dangerous his policies are, there’s no way that they vote from, because so many in our city. Led places where socialism and communism destroyed their lives,” Malliotakis flatly commented. She would know since her mother fled communism to the United States from Cuba.
GOP Rep. Mike Lawler, who represents New York’s 17th Congressional District, slammed Mamdani’s platform: “Zohran Mamdani’s call to abolish private property is dangerous and un-American.”
“It’s the kind of radical socialist nonsense that would destroy livelihoods in the Hudson Valley and across New York. This will bring economic chaos, and New Yorkers deserve better than out-of-touch extremists pushing communist agendas that threaten our way of life,” he said, according to Fox News.

“Mamdani’s call to abolish private property isn’t just radical, it’s dangerous,” Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-NY) also remarked to Fox News Digital. “Stripping this fundamental right would devastate families, close small businesses, and destroy entire communities, all while handing more power to the government. Private property is a cornerstone Constitutional principle. It represents the essence of personal freedom, economic opportunity, and the American Dream. We must defend it.”
“Mamdani isn’t offering a housing plan — he’s pushing a communist manifesto. The idea of abolishing private property is fundamentally anti-American and wildly out of touch with the real issues New Yorkers face,” Rep. Nick Langworthy (R-NY) also contended. “Families are fleeing the city and our state because of high costs, crime, and broken leadership, not because there’s too much freedom. New York City has to decide: do they want a mayor who believes in safety and prosperity, or a communist who wants to seize your home?”
The wealthy will flee for freer pastures
All of them are right. If Mamdani gets in, the majority of what wealth is left in New York City will relocate and fast. He wants to tax the wealthy there to death, calling it their “fair share” when they are already paying the majority of taxes and creating jobs. Many are fleeing to Florida, where being successful is not a crime.
From CNBC:
Florida real estate brokers say they’ve seen a surge in inquiries from the New York wealthy looking to move to Miami or Palm Beach. Business owners are threatening to leave the city or close. And New York developers, caught in the crosshairs of Mamdani’s rent control platform, have banded together to fund Mamdani’s opponents in the November general election.
At the center of the economic concern is Mamdani’s so-called “millionaire tax.” He’s proposed an additional 2% tax on New Yorkers earning more than $1 million a year. Added to the city’s current top rate of 3.876%, the tax would bring the combined New York City and state tax to 16.776%, by far the highest in the country. The combined federal, state and city rate would be 53.776%.
[…]
Critics also fear Mamdani’s policies toward the police and public safety could make the city even more dangerous, becoming the final straw for many business owners and top earners who were already considering leaving. The top 1% of New Yorkers pay over 40% of the income taxes, so losing even a small number of high earners would set off a downward spiral of lower revenue and lower services and more out-migration.
He’ll turn the rotten apple into a third-world hellhole. It’s the communist way. But don’t worry, he’ll still live well and have lots of money. Communists in power always do, while the masses suffer in abject poverty and misery.

The young AOC acolyte was hammered on social media for his stance.
“Yea, this guy is definitely not a communist,” Donald Trump Jr. snarked on X.
“He is a communist,” GOP Sen. Ted Cruz responded bluntly.
“Like I said he’s a communist,” Fox News contributor Marc Thiessen wrote on X.
“Yes, you heard that right,” New York GOP Rep. Elise Stefanik pointed out on X. “Like the true Communist he is, Commie Mamdani supports the ‘abolition of private property.’ This is the NY Democrat Party @KathyHochul you lead and you have failed to condemn this dangerous insanity.”
“Meet the new leader of the Democrat party, everyone,” GOP Sen. Roger Marshall wrote. “He’s a literal communist.”
Democrats bend the knee
A number of powerful Democrats, such as Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Independent socialist Bernie Sanders, support Mamdani. Not all Democrats are on board with his commie Islamic stances, such as supporting the “Globalize the Intifada” movement, but more and more are slowly drifting into his orbit. A number of them met on Wednesday to plot the DSA candidate’s seizing control as mayor.

From ABC News:
Most members leaving a breakfast meeting organized by key ally Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York at a Washington restaurant did not disclose what was discussed, although Rep. Luz Rivas, D-Calif., said the meeting was focused on strategizing after Mamdani’s stunning win in the primary and Rep. Lateefah Simon, D-Calif., a Muslim member of Congress, told ABC News that the meeting was focused on skills Mamdani could share and about his background.
“It was a ‘skill-share’ where he just talked about the way in which he’s embodied his experience as an organizer, as a local elected, but also like as a young Muslim man, born and raised in one of the most diasporic cities in the world, and as a Muslim elected, I was not only inspired by it, I learned a lot.”
Neither House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) nor Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) has pledged fealty to Mamdani… yet. But their socialist base is clamoring for it.
And the Left is pushing for Mamdani like nobody’s business – from Politico:
On Monday, Mamdani gathered with Jewish elected officials concerned about his defense of the phrase “globalize the intifada.” He met Tuesday with more than a hundred big-business CEOs worried about his vow to hike taxes on the wealthy. And on Wednesday, he began with a breakfast in Washington with House progressives, who fawned over his election strategy, and then returned to New York where he held court with tech industry leaders hoping to influence City Hall. His Thursday schedule includes still more closed-door meetings.
The work-week push will culminate Friday when he meets with House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, a fellow New York Democrat who commended Mamdani’s focus on affordability after his stunning primary win but has yet to bless his general election run.
“Get to know him!” Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) told reporters after the Washington meeting she organized for him and left-leaning House Democrats. “If anybody is skeptical, I would say get to know him. And once you get into a room with him, kick the tires yourself and make your own assessment.”

Mamdani can turn on all the charm he wants – but many, even on the Left, don’t approve of his antisemitism or his Islamic and communist principles being shoved down their throats.

This is the vision that the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) has for all of America… instilling communists in positions of power to basically overturn our Republic. They don’t try to hide it, and Mamdani is very up front about most of it. The only push back from him is admitting he’s a communist.
New York City better wake up and fast, or it will no longer be the home of Wall Street and the wealthy in America. They aren’t compatible with communism.
The Democrats are no longer just pushing socialism. They have graduated to violence and communism, which is a natural progression for Marxists. For them, it is a revolution, and communist uprisings always get bloody before they get really, really bad.
