BRONX, NY – A tragic altercation in the Bronx has left a 16-year-old girl dead and a 17-year-old girl facing murder charges. The incident unfolded near a deli in the Williamsbridge neighborhood, where investigators believe a dispute led to the fatal stabbing.
The victim, Aaliyah Williams, was stabbed multiple times in a confrontation that began inside the deli, known locally as a smoke shop. Witnesses described the scene as chaotic, with the sidewalk stained in blood, serving as a stark reminder of the violence that took place.
Police are probing whether Williams was lured to the location by individuals with whom she had a longstanding conflict. The altercation reportedly escalated after Williams allegedly threw water on the suspect, leading to a deadly encounter where she was stabbed in the head, face, and chest.
A 19-year-old EMT in training, who wished to remain anonymous, attempted to provide first aid at the scene. “She was moving a lot, and we tried to calm her down,” the EMT said, emphasizing the urgency to prevent further blood loss.
Williams was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead. Her family, visibly shaken, visited the scene, with her grandmother expressing sorrow over the violent loss. “She was a nice person who listened to her parents,” her grandmother said, struggling to comprehend the senseless tragedy.
