During last year’s campaign, President Donald Trump warned that the country is being divided by a multiplicity of “languages that nobody ever heard of.”
In an attempt to address that problem, Attorney General Pam Bondi has officially announced that the Department of Justice (DOJ) will “minimize non-essential multilingual services.”
Policy change aimed at doing away with “wasteful virtue-signaling policies”
According to Breitbart, that announcement came in the form of a recent press release which calls for “English-language education and assimilation.”
“As President Trump has made clear, English is the official language of the United States,” the attorney general was quoted as saying.

“The Department of Justice will lead the effort to codify the President’s Executive Order and eliminate wasteful virtue-signaling policies across government agencies to promote assimilation over division,” she stressed.
The press release argued that this change will “help streamline federal processes, reduce administrative burdens, and increase operational efficiency across agencies.”
Trump signed an executive order making English the nation’s official language
Breitbart noted how Bondi’s remarks came four months after President Donald Trump signed an executive order which designated English as America’s official language.
“From the founding of our Republic, English has been used as our national language,” Trump’s executive order was quoted as stating.
“Our Nation’s historic governing documents, including the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, have all been written in English,” it continued.
“It is therefore long past time that English is declared as the official language of the United States,” the executive order went on to say.
Nevertheless, Trump specified that agency heads need not halt the production of “documents, products, or other services prepared or offered in languages other than English” if such items are needed to fulfil their mission
Assistant attorney general hails “pivotal step toward unifying our nation”
The president’s order was praised in the DOJ press release by Harmeet K. Dhillon, who serves as assistant attorney general.
“President Trump’s Executive Order marks a pivotal step toward unifying our nation through a common language and enhancing efficiency in federal operations,” she maintained.
“The Department of Justice ensures that while we respect linguistic diversity, our federal resources will prioritize English proficiency to empower new Americans and strengthen civic unity,” the assistant attorney general made clear.
