Sen. John Fetterman, a Democrat from Pennsylvania, has once again bucked his party’s talking points and agenda and spoke the truth, something that continues to anger his colleagues on the left.
According to Breitbart, Fetterman must have really tripped some triggers on the left as he expressed his support for the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency. Most Democrats oppose the agency, or at least its actions.
Fetterman admitted that ICE performs “an important job” for the United States of America.
He also slammed Democrats’ repeated calls to abolish the agency, describing such calls as “inappropriate” and “outrageous.”
What’s going on?
Fetterman made his stance on ICE and its duties clear in an X post, presumably ruffling plenty of feathers on his side of the aisle.

Breitbart noted:
Fetterman’s post comes as President Donald Trump was asked on Wednesday about Fetterman’s comments criticizing “Democrats who want to abolish” ICE or “treat them as criminals,” according to the Daily Mail. Trump described Fetterman as being “right.”
“The new John Fetterman is exactly what you said, he’s right,” Trump said. “He’s right.”
Fetterman has bucked the Democratic Party on several major issues, including his staunch and public support for Israel.
The Pennsylvania Democrat has also expressed his views on the border situation.
Fetterman’s comments come as the Pennsylvania senator has previously expressed that the Democrat party failed to “handle the border appropriately,” adding that the thousands of illegal aliens that had been allowed into the country under the Biden administration was “unacceptable.”
Social media reacts
Users across social media reacted to Fetterman’s comments on ICE. Some supported the senator’s comments while others, presumably Democrats, slammed him for taking the Republican side on the issue.
“Thank you Senator Fetterman! You are right and think along the lines of a Patriot! Now if only your lefties could do the same, we would all be in a better place!” one X user wrote.
Another X user wrote, “Correct! They need to be respected like other members of law enforcement and not cursed at for simply doing their jobs.”
