Dan Bongino, the deputy director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), is threatening to quit his job.
This is according to an exclusive report from the Daily Wire.
Apparently, Bongino is not happy with the way the Trump administration, particularly Attorney General Pam Bondi, has handled the Jeffrey Epstein files. Not only is he threatening to quit, but reports also indicate that he has already skipped a day of work over it.

Here’s what’s going on:
It is not an exaggeration to say that the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), led by Bondi, caused widespread outrage this past week by claiming that there is no Jeffrey Epstein client list.
Newsweek reports:
Trump’s administration ordered a review of the Epstein case and said it would publish names and evidence about associates of Epstein, a wealthy financier who died by suicide in his jail cell in August 2019, weeks after his arrest on sex trafficking charges. However, a memo by the Department of Justice and the F.B.I. now states there is no “client list,” and there will be no more charges.
This comes after the list had been talked about for years and after Bondi herself promised to release it. She even claimed to have the list on her desk.
In other words, this looks a lot like the continuation of a cover-up. Maybe it is or maybe it isn’t.
But, it is hard to argue against the idea that Bondi and the DOJ could not have handled this situation any worse than it has.
Bongino gives ultimatum
According to the Daily Wire’s reporting, it appears as though Bongino has essentially given the Trump administration an ultimatum: either get rid of Bondi or he’s quitting.
Per the outlet:
Dan Bongino, the Deputy Director of the FBI, is threatening to leave the bureau if Attorney General Pam Bondi remains on the job, a source close to Bongino tells The Daily Wire. Bongino is reportedly furious with Attorney General Pam Bondi over her handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files, which has led many to believe he could walk away from the job that he took in February. The source close to Bongino said that he’s effectively issued an ultimatum, saying he won’t work alongside Bondi.
Not only that, but it would appear, from other reporting, that FBI Director Kash Patel is backing Bongino on this one and that Patel is considering whether or not to resign as well.
This put President Donald Trump in a difficult position, and, at the time of this writing, there is no real indication as to how he will handle it.
It is worth noting that the White House has stood by Bondi, and Trump even snapped at a reporter recently who asked about Bondi’s handling of the Epstein situation, asking the reporter, “Are you still talking about Jeffrey Epstein?” We’ll have to see how this all plays out.
