A man has been accused of making a threat against President Donald Trump ahead of his trip to Kerrville Friday, according to officials.
Robert Herrera, 52, allegedly commented on an undisclosed San Antonio news outlet’s Facebook post Thursday talking about Trump’s planned visit to the Hill Country.
Using the handle “Robert Herrer,” Herrera allegedly commented “I won’t miss” with a photo of Trump surrounded by agents after the July 2024 assassination attempt in Pennsylvania.
Another account then replied, “you won’t get the chance, I promise.”
Herrera then allegedly replied with, “I’ll just come for you,” with a picture of himself with an assault rifle and loaded magazines.
Herrera was arrested the same day and faces a federal charge of making threats against Trump and interstate threatening communications.
If convicted, Herrera faces up to five years in prison for each charge.
