
The former president of the Culver City, CA Democratic Club asked the city on Wednesday to turn off its license plate reader system while President Trump is in office.
Pete Rockwell suggested to the Culver City Council during a meeting that the Trump administration may try to access the system amid its illegal immigration crackdown, saying “it’ll be best if there are no recordings.”
“Trump’s masked Gestapo thugs are kidnapping people who live and work here,” he said. “We aren’t told where they’re taking these people … Trump thinks it’s funny.”
