JP Morgan Chase CEO Jamie Dimon isn’t happy about the recent rise of ‘Marxist’ Dem mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani in New York City.
“He’s more of a Marxist than a socialist, and now you see these Democrats falling all over themselves saying, ‘Well, he’s pointing out some real problems, affordable housing and grocery prices,’” Dimon said in Ireland on Thursday, reported FOX Business.
” [Mamdani] pushes the same ideological mush that means nothing in the real world,” he continued.
Pro-business leaders, including Dimon, are organizing to beat Mamdani at the ballot box as the self-proclaimed “socialist” is attempting to soften his image amid rising backlash to his candidacy.
But, it will likely be a long haul to sway millions of New Yorkers away from supporting Mamdani. Why? Because they’re “idiots” according to Dimon.
“I have a lot of friends who are Democrats, and they’re idiots,” he added at the Ireland event.
“I always say they have big hearts and little brains,” Dimon added. “They do not understand how the real world works. Almost every single policy rolled out failed.”
Dimon also criticized Dem-supported DEI initiatives.
“We all were devoted to reaching out to the black community, Hispanic, the LGBT community, the disabled — we do all of that. But the extent, they gotta stop it. And they gotta go back to being more practical. They’re very ideological,” Dimon said.
JP Morgan was one of several big banks to pull DEI rhetoric from its websites after President Trump took office, and Dimon announced the bank would be cutting spending on DEI initiatives, FOX reported.
Dimon has become an outspoken critic of the Democrat Party since its violent shift to the radical left. He’s also deeply concerned about national security and foreign adversaries, namely China.
In May, Dimon urged Americans to “stockpile” ammo and guns in response to the “enemy within.”
As for Dimon’s most recent criticism of “idiot” Dems… he got plenty of support on X:
I haven’t met a Republican or democrat that hasn’t criticized the incompetence of the Democrats. It’s not an unpopular opinion.
