
Democratic Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman is questioned New York Assemblyman and Democratic nominee for New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s place in the party, making him one of a handful of prominent Democrats who have spoken out against Mamdani’s rise.
“I don’t really agree with virtually any of it politically,” Fetterman said on Fox News when asked about Mamdani’s mayoral candidacy. “He’s not even really a Democrat, honestly.”

Democratic New York Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, for instance, apologized to Mamdani after suggesting he had made “references to global jihad” during a radio interview.
Mamdani has refused to denounce the phrase “globalize the intifada,” a slogan used by pro-Palestinian activists calling for violent resistance against Israel.
