Mark Epstein, the brother of disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein, is renewing questions about the suspicious 2019 death of his brother—this time directly pointing to President Donald Trump and key members of his administration as possible figures behind what he believes was a coordinated cover-up.
In a recent appearance on NewsNation’s “Cuomo,” Mark expressed open disbelief in the official narrative that his brother died by suicide while being held in federal custody at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City.
“Every time they say something, when Kash Patel came out with that statement, I laughed at how stupid it was,” Epstein told host Chris Cuomo.
Patel, who now serves as FBI Director under Trump’s current administration, has publicly maintained that Epstein’s death was suicide, in line with the Justice Department’s (DOJ) official ruling.
Mark Epstein disagrees.
He argued that too many irregularities remain unresolved, including missing security footage, malfunctioning cameras and inexplicable staffing lapses the night Jeffrey Epstein died.
To him, these signs suggest foul play and a deliberate effort to silence someone who held damaging information about powerful people.
His criticisms didn’t stop with Patel.
Epstein named several other Trump administration officials, including Attorney General Pam Bondi and Office of Management and Budget Director Russell Vought.
“All of these people work for Trump,” he said. “So if they’re covering up for somebody, who do you think they might be covering up for?”
Epstein elaborated further during an earlier phone interview with “Piers Morgan Uncensored.”
While he stopped short of directly accusing Trump, he strongly implied the president should not be ruled out.
“People who take the time and really investigate this thoroughly all come to pretty much the same conclusion—that maybe Trump was behind this,” he said.
When asked directly whether Trump could have had a hand in the death, Epstein answered, “I wouldn’t write that off… If you look at all the evidence we have—not opinions, but facts—that wouldn’t be something I’d dismiss.”
Although Morgan pushed back, emphasizing there’s no public evidence tying Trump to the incident, Epstein held his ground.
“Somebody did,” he replied. “There’s too much being buried for this to just be an accident.”
Jeffrey Epstein’s death has remained one of the most explosive and controversial episodes in recent political history.
The financier, who was awaiting trial on federal sex trafficking charges, had long-standing ties to global elites, including former presidents, billionaires and royalty.
His arrest sent shockwaves through the political and media world, and his death—just weeks later—only fueled conspiracy theories, according to BizPac Review.
The Trump administration has repeatedly defended the DOJ’s findings, even releasing limited surveillance footage and internal reports to support the suicide conclusion.
Critics like Mark Epstein, however, say those efforts have done little to quiet suspicions—especially when major figures involved are closely tied to Trump himself.
Almost six years later, lingering questions remain. With Epstein’s brother openly voicing concerns on national media, calls for further investigation may once again grow louder.
