The truth is starting to leak out of Alligator Alcatraz, the newly built migrant detention center deep in the Florida Everglades—and it’s coming straight from someone locked inside.

Cuban reggaeton artist Leamsy “La Figura”, currently being held at the facility, just delivered a bombshell firsthand account that paints a disturbing picture of what life inside “Gator Gitmo” is really like.

In a new viral video, Leamsy claims the center is freezing, unsanitary, and run by racist guards. “I haven’t showered for four days, there’s no water, no toothpaste,” he said. “They don’t let you out for even a minute. We are in a cage of metal bars with the lights on 24 hours a day, and the mosquitoes seem like elephants.”

He also alleged that “racist black guards” are running the show and mistreating detainees—a claim likely to cause political headaches for the White House as scrutiny around the site continues to grow.

Leamsy was arrested on July 2 in Miami-Dade County for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and simple assault. Despite being granted bail totaling just $6,000, he remains behind bars due to an ICE hold that prevents his release while his immigration status is under federal review.

Alligator Alcatraz—a $450 million migrant center Trump toured earlier this month—is already drawing fierce reactions. With over 28,000 feet of barbed wire, 200 surveillance cameras, and National Guard security, critics say it resembles a military prison more than a holding facility.

But this firsthand testimony from a detained Cuban artist may be the clearest sign yet that conditions inside the Everglades compound are more extreme than anyone expected.
