Democrats have been stealing congressional seats for decades

The 2020 census results were a complete disaster for conservative states like Florida and Texas.

While left-wing strongholds like California and New York got to keep their outsized influence in Congress, red states that have been growing by leaps and bounds got shortchanged.

Governor Ron DeSantis isn’t mincing words about what happened.

DeSantis told reporters he wants to redo the 2026 census so his legislature can redistrict the lines fairly, because right now the country isn’t properly apportioned.¹

The Governor pointed out that Florida has millions more people who don’t have proper representation because of what he called a flawed census.

And he’s absolutely right.

Florida only gained one congressional seat in the 2020 census despite massive population growth that should have earned the state at least two additional seats.

Meanwhile, Texas got robbed of another seat too.

DeSantis questioned whether Florida really only deserved one seat, arguing the state should have gotten at least two seats and Texas deserved another one as well, which could make all the difference in House control.²

The dirty secret Democrats don’t want you to know

Here’s what the Left doesn’t want Americans to figure out.

They’ve been using illegal aliens to pad their congressional numbers for years.

States like California and New York get to count millions of people who aren’t even citizens when determining how many House seats they get.

That means legal American citizens in states like Florida and Texas are getting less representation while illegal immigrants in blue states are boosting Democrat power.

DeSantis predicted that California would lose five seats under a fair census that only counts actual citizens.

Think about that for a second.

Five fewer seats for California means five more seats for states that are actually growing with American citizens.

That’s a ten-seat swing in the House of Representatives right there.

Marjorie Taylor Greene has the perfect solution

Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is introducing legislation called the “Make American Elections Great Again” Act that would fix this rigged system once and for all.

The bill would force the U.S. Census Bureau to conduct a new census that excludes noncitizens from the count.

Then states would have to redistrict their congressional lines based on the actual citizen population.

DeSantis is fully on board with Greene’s plan.

The Governor expressed his enthusiasm for redoing the census by 2026, saying his legislature would redistrict the lines to make them fair.³

This isn’t just about Florida getting its fair share.

It’s about making sure every legal American citizen gets equal representation in Congress.

DeSantis already proved he knows how to win

When DeSantis had the chance to redraw Florida’s congressional map in 2022, he didn’t mess around.

The Governor vetoed the Legislature’s weak maps and demanded they send him something he would actually sign.

DeSantis’ office drew the final map that flipped Florida from purple to solid red.

The state went from a 16-11 Republican advantage to a crushing 20-8 GOP majority.

DeSantis later bragged that his redistricting helped elect four additional Republicans to Congress, and they probably wouldn’t have had the majority without those gains.⁴

And he’s right.

Those four extra Republican seats helped deliver a stronger conservative majority in the House.

The stakes couldn’t be higher

This isn’t just about congressional seats.

It’s about the Electoral College too.

Every House seat a state gets also means an extra electoral vote in presidential elections.

So when blue states pad their numbers with illegal immigrants, they’re not just stealing House seats.

They’re stealing electoral votes that could determine who becomes President.

DeSantis appeared with President Trump at the newly renovated “Alligator Alcatraz” detention center to discuss the census issue.

The facility is being converted from the 17,000-acre Dade-Collier Training and Transition Airport into a massive holding center for illegal aliens.

With Trump back in the White House and DeSantis leading the charge in Florida, Republicans finally have the power to fix this rigged system.

Democrats are already panicking

The Left knows exactly what’s at stake here.

If Greene’s bill passes and America gets a fair census, California and New York could lose multiple House seats.

That means fewer committee chairmanships for Democrats.

Fewer opportunities to block conservative legislation.

And a lot less power to push their radical agenda.

No wonder they’re already scrambling to stop this from happening.

But with Trump’s endorsement and DeSantis’ backing, Republicans have the momentum to get this done.

The American people deserve fair representation in Congress.

And that means counting citizens, not illegal aliens, when drawing congressional districts.
