July 4 2025 MANHATTAN, New York – Black-Clad Protesters Mourn America with SCREAMS Outside NYC Federal Courthouse on Independence Day.
Protesters dressed in black gathered at dawn outside the Federal Courthouse at 40 Foley Square, staging a one-hour demonstration in mourning and resistance. The group circled in front of the courthouse steps, screaming and standing in silence to reject what organizers called “the spectacle of sentimental patriotism and deadly militarism.” The action, held on the morning of Independence Day, called on participants to “meet the dawn in contemplation and resistance.”
