Heritage Action, a Washington conservative advocacy group, is labeling the House’s passage of the “big, beautiful” budget reconciliation bill a “key vote.”
For Heritage Action, a key vote is when the group urges a bill’s passage and use it as a way to score a lawmaker’s alignment with conservative policies.
“In a historic move, the Senate has passed the One Big Beautiful Bill Act—bringing us one step closer to restoring common sense and accountability in Washington. Now it’s time for the House to do its job and send this bill to the president’s desk,” Heritage Action President Kevin Roberts said in a statement.
Specifically, Heritage Action supports extending President Donald Trump’s 2017 tax cuts, as well as restructuring benefits programs and providing funding for border security and defense.
“The One Big Beautiful Bill Act delivers on the president’s legislative agenda and fulfills a number of the promises made to the American people,” reads Heritage Action’s statement.
“80 million Americans voted for President Trump’s agenda: spending cuts, mass deportations, a rebuilt military, and an end to the corrupt administrative state in D.C. Congress must continue to use every opportunity to make this agenda a reality and pass this legislation onto the president’s desk.”
