James Comey thought he was being clever with his social media games.
But his reckless behavior is now endangering innocent people.
And FBI Director Kash Patel just exposed one awful truth about James Comey that has Democrats panicking.
Florida man indicted for threatening Alina Habba with death
The dangerous consequences of James Comey’s inflammatory social media post are becoming crystal clear.
A Florida resident named Salvatore Russotto was indicted Friday for allegedly making death threats against Alina Habba, the interim U.S. Attorney for New Jersey who formerly worked as President Donald Trump’s counsel.
The federal indictment reveals the disturbing nature of Russotto’s alleged online posts, which repeatedly used the phrase “86” – terminology that federal investigators say means “eliminate” or “get rid of.”
According to charges filed by interim U.S. Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe in the Middle District of Florida, Russotto posted threatening messages in May targeting Habba with violence and death.
The alleged posts from Russotto, as cited in the indictment, included graphic language threatening Habba with violence and death.
“[VICTIM] is a c—. 86 that b—-,” one post allegedly read.
Another disturbing message stated, “A slow painful death for [VICTIM]. 86 that c—.”
The most chilling post declared, “Eliminate [VICTIM]. 86 Traitor. Death penalty for all traitors.”
Russotto now faces federal charges of transmission of an interstate threat to injure and retaliating against a federal law enforcement officer by threat.
Kash Patel blasts copycats inspired by Comey’s reckless post
FBI Director Kash Patel didn’t mince words when describing the dangerous pattern that has emerged since James Comey’s controversial “86 47” Instagram post.
“This is yet another disturbing example of a dangerous copycat inspired by the reckless behavior of former officials, targeting those who serve our country and threatening the very people working to keep America safe,” Patel told Fox News Digital.
The FBI Director made it clear that political violence in any form will not be tolerated.
“Our FBI will not tolerate political violence in any form. I’m grateful to our law enforcement partners in Florida for their swift action and steadfast commitment to justice,” Patel stated.
The indictment comes after Patel revealed he has been forced to divert critical FBI resources to investigate “copycats” of potential threats against President Trump as a direct result of Comey’s inflammatory social media behavior.
FBI resources diverted from fighting real crime
The most infuriating aspect of this situation is how Comey’s irresponsible actions are forcing the FBI to redirect agents away from protecting children and fighting serious crimes.
“Do you know how many agents I’ve had to take offline from chasing down child sex predators, fentanyl traffickers, terrorists, because, everywhere across this country, people are popping up on social media and think that a threat to the life of the president of the United States is a joke and they can do it because he did it?” Patel said in May.
The FBI Director’s frustration was palpable as he described the daily impact of Comey’s reckless behavior.
“That’s what I’m having to deal with every single day, and that’s what I’m having to pull my agents and analysts off because he thought it was funny to go out there and make a political statement,” he said.
An FBI official confirmed to Fox News Digital that while they cannot disclose the exact number of “copycat” incidents due to ongoing investigations, the number is “significant.”
This means that instead of protecting American children from predators and stopping deadly fentanyl from flooding our communities, FBI agents are chasing down threats inspired by a former FBI Director’s social media posts.
Comey’s pathetic attempt to cover his tracks
When James Comey posted his “86 47” Instagram message showing seashells arranged on a beach, he knew exactly what he was doing.
The former FBI Director captioned the inflammatory image with “Cool shell formation on my beach walk,” as if arranging seashells to spell out a threatening message was some innocent coincidence.
After facing massive backlash, Comey tried to backpedal with a laughably weak explanation.
“I posted earlier a picture of some shells I saw today on a beach walk, which I assumed were a political message,” Comey’s subsequent post claimed. “I didn’t realize some folks associate those numbers with violence. It never occurred to me but I oppose violence of any kind so I took the post down.”
President Trump saw right through Comey’s pathetic excuse during a May interview with Fox News’ Bret Baier.
“He knew exactly what that meant. A child knows what that meant,” Trump told Baier. “If you’re the FBI director, and you don’t know what that meant, that meant ‘assassination,’ and it says it loud and clear.”
The fact that a former FBI Director would claim ignorance about the violent implications of “86” terminology is insulting to anyone with basic intelligence.
Secret Service investigating Comey
The seriousness of Comey’s actions became evident when the Secret Service got involved.
Comey met with Secret Service officials in Washington, D.C. this month for an interview about his “86 47” Instagram post, according to two sources briefed on the meeting told Fox News.
The former FBI Director is now under investigation for the deleted post that many interpreted as a call for violence against President Trump.
This investigation represents a stunning fall from grace for someone who once held one of the most important law enforcement positions in the country.
Democrats silent on Comey’s dangerous behavior
While Republicans have rightfully condemned Comey’s inflammatory post, Democrats have remained largely silent about their former ally’s dangerous behavior.
This silence speaks volumes about the Democrat Party’s willingness to tolerate political violence when it serves their purposes.
The fact that innocent people like Alina Habba are now receiving death threats because of Comey’s reckless actions should outrage every American regardless of political affiliation.
Instead, Democrats are more concerned with protecting Comey’s reputation than acknowledging the real-world consequences of his irresponsible social media behavior.
The pattern is clear: when Democrats or their allies engage in inflammatory rhetoric that inspires violence, the media and Democrat politicians suddenly develop amnesia about the dangerous power of words.
The lasting damage of Comey’s legacy
James Comey’s post-FBI career has been defined by his desperate attempts to stay relevant through increasingly reckless behavior.
From his politically motivated book tour attacking President Trump to his inflammatory social media posts, Comey has repeatedly demonstrated that he lacks the judgment and character expected of someone who once led the nation’s premier law enforcement agency.
Now his latest stunt has resulted in federal agents being pulled away from protecting children and fighting terrorism to investigate copycat threats inspired by his own actions.
The American people deserve better than former government officials who prioritize their personal vendettas over public safety.
Comey’s behavior has not only endangered innocent people like Alina Habba but has also undermined the credibility of the FBI at a time when the agency desperately needs to rebuild public trust.
The fact that a former FBI Director would engage in the kind of behavior that could inspire threats against law enforcement officers reveals just how far Comey has fallen from the standards expected of someone in his position.
Thanks to FBI Director Kash Patel’s leadership, the Bureau is finally holding people accountable for political violence and threats while working to restore the FBI’s reputation as an apolitical law enforcement agency focused on protecting all Americans.
