Warmest on record? Really?
Why then, Met Office, is there not a single mention in this report of the Central England Temperature record, which dates back to 1659.
This categorically proves that June 2025 was a long way from being the warmest on record:
https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/hadobs/hadcet/data/download.html
It ranks only tied 5th as the hottest, behind 1846, 1676, 1826 and 1822.
But to admit that would destroy their global warming narrative, which their article predictably wheels out:
Their UK and England datasets are in any event worthless, filled as they are with so many junk stations, with temperatures increased by as much as 5C because of poor siting. Even the CET includes two near junk Class 4 sites and could therefore be overstated by at least 1C.
If proper error margins were applied, June 2025 would only rank as 31st warmest.
The Met Office know full well that none of these junk sites are supposed to be used for climatological purposes. The fact they continue proves they are more interested in political propaganda than science.
