For the last 15 years, prolife, conservative patriots have gathered for the “Road to Majority” conference, under the leadership of Dr. Ralph Reed, one of America’s foremost champions of Christian values in politics – including the fundamental priority of the right to life.
Road to Majority met again from Thursday, June 26th through Saturday, June 28th in our nation’s capital, and I was privileged to be among them.
The event started in the Cannon Caucus Room on Thursday afternoon. Speaker after speaker, including Senators Ted Cruz and Lindsey Graham, and House Majority Whip Tom Emmer, pointed out the tremendous week that America was having, with Supreme Court victories (including on ending funding of Planned Parenthood), the advancement of world peace, and much more.
The horror of abortion, and the need to not only limit it but abolish it, was a theme woven through the afternoon. Likewise a matter of focus was the need to win the midterm elections, if we are to have any hope of advancing the pro-life, pro-family, pro-America agenda that so many voted for last Fall.

The next day and a half were filled with brief talks, one more energizing than the other.
Speaker Mike Johnson gave the keynote at the Friday night Gala, and reminded everyone of the significance of the “Big Beautiful Bill,” which we as pro-life people have fought so hard for because for the first time we will be able to deprive the abortion industry of its biggest funding stream. This will be the biggest victory for our movement since the Dobbs decision.
At that banquet, everyone was brought to tears by the presence and testimony of Mr. Yahir Horn, whom President Trump brought home after 498 days of hell in Hamas captivity. He shared the poignant fact that he was in captivity with his brother, whom Hamas forced to remain there when they released Yahir.
He and other speakers reflected on how the battles we see unfolding, globally as well as domestically, are – no matter who the individual players are — really wars between good and evil, between light and darkness, between human dignity and senseless barbarism.
And nobody is too small to have a role. Dr. Sebastian Gorka, currently serving as President Trump’s Senior Director for Counter Terrorism, stressed this point, and said that we each have to focus on that particular issue God has called us to – and he used our commitment to the unborn as an example – and that in doing so, we have to have the Trump spirit of decisively, tirelessly, getting as much as possible done every single day, knowing that the time is short.
I was privileged to speak in a session that featured a panel and focused on the role that the Church has in transforming the culture. The speakers included, among others, Fr. Calvin Robinson and Mr. John DeBerry, who as a Tennessee legislator refused to compromise his pro-life position, which led to his being outsted from the Democrat Party. He now is right hand man to Governor Bill Lee.
Every speaker referenced the fact that those who take a stand for what is right will suffer persecution and rejection, whether politically or even within the Church.
And that’s why the Road to Majority participants are all heroes. They have endured the slings and arrows. They all stand for the unborn. They pursue the rights of families and the foundational principles of America. As a movement, these political conservatives are the best friends the pro-life movement has, and their collaboration in this movement was on full display.
