Rep. Claudia Tenney announced that she has “twice nominated” President Donald Trump the Nobel Peace Prize, writing, “No modern leader has done more for World Peace than President Trump, and it’s long past time he receives recognition.”
Tenney, R-N.Y., wrote on social media platform X that Trump was able to broker the Abraham Accords, “the first new Arab-Israeli peace agreements in nearly 30 years … shattering the myth that peace in the Middle East required endless concessions to terrorists.”
The congresswoman first nominated the president in January of 2024, and then nominated him a second time in December 2024.
“The next window opens in the Fall. When the nomination portal reopens, I will file a 3rd nomination if President Trump doesn’t win the Nobel Peace Prize, as he deserves,” Tenney added.
Rep. Buddy Carter, R-Ga., said he nominated Trump on Tuesday for the illustrious prize, “in recognition of his historic role in brokering a ceasefire between Israel and Iran and preventing the world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism from obtaining the most lethal weapon on the planet.”
