
Wray Murdough, 60, of Swanzey, N.H., is charged with reckless second-degree murder in the death of a man in June 2024, Attorney General John M. Formella announced Friday.
Murdough is accused of killing John Witfoth, 38, by striking him with a golf club.
On June 17, 2024, investigators received a 911 call and responded to a residence in Swanzey, where they found Witfoth deceased, according to a news release from the Attorney General’s Office.
After an autopsy, Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Jennie Duval determined that Witfoth’s cause of death was complications of blunt head trauma and his manner of death was homicide.
