Ranked choice roulette and 11 candidates in the NYC mayoral race has led to a victory for far-left NYC mayoral candidate, 33-year-old Uganda-born Assemblymember Zohran Mamdani to get the Democratic nomination in the primary. Mamdani was, not surprisingly, endorsed by crazy AOC and communist Bernie Sanders. He was also endorsed by the New York Working Families Party, New York City Democratic Socialists of America and David Hogg’s Leaders We Deserve group.
Mamdani has got all the creds he needed to clinch the nomination – he’s pro-Palestinian, he’s a socialist and he hates Trump. He’s the perfect candidate for the progressive left.
And with eleven candidates slicing up the vote like a deli pastrami, Mamdani only needed 432,305 votes (43.5%) in a city of more than 8.4 million to win the day against the rest of the candidates, including “nursing home nightmare” Andrew Cuomo (preliminary numbers pending the final ranked- choice voting tally).
Now, this darling of the far-left will face off against Independent Eric Adams (who’s trying to un-cancel himself) and Republican Curtis Sliwa, the red-bereted crime-fighter who might be NYC’s last shot at sanity.
Eric Adams, once a proud Democrat, is trying to rebrand himself as the voice of moderation. But New Yorkers with a memory longer than a TikTok clip might recall his mayoral tenure as a time when the streets got dirtier, rents soared, and crime strutted more boldly than ever.
Oh – and let’s not forget the wave of illegal aliens Adams once welcomed with open arms, only to later reverse course once the city’s budget buckled under the pressure. What changed? Rumor has it, Adams struck a quiet deal with Trump to dodge legal trouble – and in doing so, became persona non grata among the left-wing crowd that once cheered him on.
Enter Guardian Angels founder and streetwise warrior Republican Curtis Sliwa. He might be the only one who can save the city from itself – if New Yorkers actually want to be saved. Sliwa has been called theatrical, but compared to Mamdani, who thinks swapping out police for social workers is a legitimate idea in a city where machete attacks now double as TikTok trends, Curtis is obviously the grown-up in the room.
So, can Sliwa pull off a political miracle and rescue Gotham from getting even worse than it already is? Or will voters hit snooze and let the city slide further into lawless and dangerous leftist lunacy?
One thing’s clear: New York voters better decide fast (before Tuesday, November 4, 2025) whether they want a mayor who fights crime – or one who organizes protests against the people who do.
