Gruesome Discovery in Landfill Sparks Manhunt for Baby’s Mother

A gruesome discovery at a Madrid landfill has launched a chilling investigation after the dismembered remains of a newborn baby girl were found stuffed in bags at a recycling plant.

The infant’s body was uncovered around 1:46 a.m. on December 12, 2024, at the Loeches recycling facility, just outside the Spanish capital. Workers alerted the Civil Guard after stumbling upon the remains, sparking a major criminal probe dubbed “Operation Natal.”

According to reports translated from Spanish outlet La Razón, forensic tests revealed the baby was just five days old, of South American descent, and was born alive. Tragically, she had suffered a “violent death” and showed signs of asphyxiation.

Authorities believe the baby’s body originated from the Puente de Vallecas district in Madrid, and their investigation has since zeroed in on that area as they work to identify the child’s mother.

Disturbingly, investigators now suspect the mother may have been directly involved in the baby’s death. “From the investigations carried out so far, it has been possible to determine that the remains would correspond to a female baby and that she was born alive,” the Civil Guard told Daily Mail. “There are indications that would point to her death being of a violent nature.”

Authorities have appealed to the public for help, urging anyone with information to come forward as the case remains open and unresolved.
