The phrase “go touch grass” gets thrown around a lot these days, though not nearly as much. You may find yourself wondering if you need to log off of the internet and go touch grass, so I hope this helps. If you find yourself like this lady filming a TikTok at work about how you aren’t sure how you can be expected to work because Donald Trump did a thing, the answer is yes.
Standard viral video rules apply. I’m not sure who this woman is or where this video originated, except that it appears to be from an Amazon warehouse. But it’s going viral and people are engagement farming it, plus I think there is a teachable moment here.
We’re also unclear whether the rainbow sash and walking around with what appears to be a Mexican flag are part of her everyday attire or if she grabbed props for the sake of filming content with them.
Ok, I’ll bite…
“We’re just supposed to get these boxes out without being worried.”
Yes.
“I just need somebody to explain to me how I’m supposed to not crash out.”
By processing information and behaving like a grown-up?
The bigger issue is why Amazon Annie and others like her struggle with processing information. It’s that there is an entire media industry that, whenever Donald Trump does anything ever, looking for the most apocalyptic worst-case scenario to frame it around. Then, when a day or two passes and we discover that wasn’t the case, they ignore it and move into the next thing.
Here’s a good rule of thumb whenever CNN or whatever talking point is being pushed by progressive billionaire-funded progressive NGOs (aka, what gets reported on CNN). Wait.
Had this woman taken a deep breath, she would have known that everything is fine. We aren’t entering World War 3 and never were. Anyone who said otherwise was lying to her. Nothing is happening in the world is getting in the way of her putting things into boxes.
Other than when her supervisor sees how she spends her work day.
