The U.S. Supreme Court on Monday allowed the Trump administration to deport illegal immigrants to countries that they are not from.
The High Court lifted U.S. District Judge Brian Murphy’s nationwide injunction that placed restrictions on the deportations to those countries, Politico reported. Murphy had required the administration to give immigrants “meaningful” advance notice and a chance to raise objections before they are sent to these countries.
The justices granted the Trump administration’s emergency request to put Murphy’s injunction on hold.
