President Trump announced on Truth Social that the United States military carried out strikes in Iran that destroyed three nuclear sites.
“We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan,” Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social. “All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors. There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE!” Trump wrote.
The president hinted such an attack was in the offing as Iran refused to compromise on eliminating their ability to enrich uranium which could one day lead to Iran developing a nuclear bomb.
“We’re not looking for a ceasefire. We’re looking for a total and complete victory. Again, you know what the victory is: no nuclear weapon,” Trump told reporters. “I don’t want to get involved either, but I’ve been saying for 20 years — maybe longer — that Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon.”
Trump added that he promised in all three of his campaigns to stop Iran from getting a nuclear weapon and that he believed if Iran acquired the bomb, they would use it.
“They’d [Iranian regime] use it. I believe they’d use it,” Trump added. “They should’ve made that deal. I had a great deal for them. They should’ve made that deal. In the end, they decided not to do it — and now they wish they did it.”
Trump’s decision divided his supporters.
One of Trump’s most popular promises was to reject the endless regime change wars America fought in the Middle East over the last 25 years that piled trillions on the national debt and cost thousands of American lives.
War Room host Steve Bannon hinted hours before the strikes that Trump made the decision to bomb Iran and World War 3 could be in the offing.

Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk opposed a regime change war in Iran, but applauded the president on what he claimed was a limited strike that wouldn’t lead to America immersed in a wider, endless Middle East war.
“Iran gave President Trump no choice. For a decade he has been adamant that Iran will never get a nuclear weapon. Iran decided to forego diplomacy in pursuit of a bomb. This is a surgical strike, operated perfectly. President Trump acted with prudence and decisiveness,” Kirk posted to X.
President Trump believes he was elected president to solve problems that past presidents failed to bring to a conclusion.
Iran’s nuclear program was one such long-standing problem facing America.
