Proving once again that there is nothing more important than virtue signaling, leftist anti-ICE activists helped a wanted man escape justice.
Jose Reyes Leon-Deras, an illegal alien from El Salvador, was convicted in Italy on charges of child rape. While that would be enough to make the average person’s stomach turn, anti-ICE activists in Denver chose to thwart authorities present to take Leon-Deras into custody.
The Colorado Rapid Response group posted that Immigration and Customs Enforcement authorities had been spotted in the area, which alerted the illegal alien and gave him time to slip away before he could be apprehended.
“During our surveillance of Leon, members of Colorado Rapid Response arrived on scene and alerted him to law enforcement’s presence, which allowed him to escape arrest,” the local ICE group said in a statement. “Groups like this interfere with ICE’s ability to keep communities safe.”

It’s unclear if the same activists will take responsibility for any crimes that the criminal alien may commit with his continued freedom thanks to their actions.

The DOJ must investigate and prosecute everyone involved. This is completely unacceptable.
