The mainstream media’s takeaway from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s recent briefing defies parody.
Like a crazy ex-girlfriend who is constantly reading between the non-existent lines for reasons to get upset with you, the media has once again invented its own boogeyman. During his speech, Hegseth praised “our boys” who bombed Iranian nuclear sites. It didn’t take long for reporters to find something worthy of clutching their worn-out pearls.

“Defense Secretary Hegseth: ‘We were able to destroy nuclear capabilities. And OUR BOYS in those bombers are on their way home right now,’” wrote Fox News’s Jennifer Griffin. “Fox News has learned that at least one of the B2 pilots who took part in the Iran mission was female.”
Suddenly, Democrats know what a woman is.
X users had plenty to say about the breathless reporting on Hegseth’s choice of words:
Anybody piloting a bomber is going to think of herself as one of the boys.

How do they know what “she” identified as?

Are they admitting they know what a woman is yet?

As a woman I could care less how he refers to the pilots on this mission. As long as the words brave and strong are there. We have moved beyond the virtue signaling.
