A weekend that changed the course of history…
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt hit morning news programs on Monday to provide official White House statements and the latest developments on the U.S. bombings in Iran.
B-2 bombers dropped bunker-buster bombs on Iranian nuclear facilities over the weekend in what’s being called Operation Midnight Hammer.
Among the targets: Iran’s Furdow nuclear facility.
“We are confident, yes, that Iran’s nuclear sites were completely and totally obliterated … We have a high degree of confidence that where those strikes took place is where Iran’s enriched uranium was stored,” Leavitt told ABC News. “This operation was a resounding success.”

“This strike on Saturday did make our homeland safer because it took away Iran’s ability to create a nuclear bomb. This is a regime that threatens ‘death to America,’” Leavit added. “They no longer have the capability to build this nuclear weapon and threaten the world.”

Leavitt also spoke to Fox News, stressing that “the country is a safer place” with Iran’s nuclear facilities destroyed, saying, “[President Trump] has prevented a rogue, radical regime from obtaining a nuclear bomb and threatening our people.”
“The country is a safer place today because of the President’s bold action and he has prevented a nuclear conflict,” says @PressSec.

Leavitt also said that the Trump Administration’s main goal continues to be to reach a diplomatic solution.
“If the Iranian regime refuses to come to a peaceful, diplomatic solution — which the President is still interested in engaging in … why shouldn’t the Iranian people take away the power of this incredibly violent regime? … Our posture has not changed,” Leavitt said.
