Has the EU reached the end of the road with the “green transition” and now sees a command economy as a way out? One person offering insight into what may be afoot is the former American general and still highly informed intelligence officer Mike Flynn.
I would like to publish a longer quote that I believe is so important that it deserves to be highlighted in its entirety. It comes from former General Mike Flynn’s Telegram channel, where he shared these thoughts on June 4, following Ukraine’s successful drone attack on Russian airfields.
While the American public is kept blissfully ignorant by the establishment press, the world’s two greatest superpowers are being manipulated by Dark forces within and outside our government into a war that no country wants and no sane person would ever desire. I have no role in the Trump administration, but during my long career in active uniformed military service, particularly in military intelligence, I made it a priority to cultivate many sources of information around the world. From what I have pieced together, I want to share my deep concern about who is behind this march toward war and my recommendation on how our nation and the West can avoid a major military confrontation with Russia. I am of the opinion that the U.S. Deep State consists of people with a deep, malicious, and irrational hatred of Russia, and these individuals have conspired to limit President Trump’s decision-making through the Russiagate hoax. During the period when the Soviet Union was expanding and infiltrating our government, I was an outspoken anti-communist, but despite the lies we are fed by our Deep State, Russia is not the Soviet Union, and Putin is not Stalin. Even today, years after the Russiagate hoax was exposed, President Trump’s efforts to create peace are met with resistance. The established press, deeply influenced by and sometimes directly controlled by our Deep State, labels President Trump and those working for him as “Putin’s puppets” to goad him into unwarranted and aggressive actions against Russia. These voices from the establishment media reflect the Deep State’s views—not the American people’s or the MAGA movement’s—and should be completely ignored, if not ridiculed. For nearly the entire postwar period, and certainly after the CIA was formed in 1947, these dark, unelected establishment forces have acted to destabilize the world, causing death, famine, assassinations, violence, coups, riots, revolutions, and destruction on our planet. Today, these forces are working to provoke Russia into a major—and perhaps final—military conflict with the West. This provocation takes many forms. Most recently, it consisted of a surprise drone attack on the Russian Federation’s strategic arsenal, reportedly 40 bombers, equivalent to a third of Russia’s strategic bombing fleet. Since Russian and U.S. strategic bombers are typically required to be visible to satellite surveillance under existing agreements, no one has previously dared to attack these visible targets. If Russian bombers can be attacked without consequence, so can American bombers. Through this attack, Ukraine’s government has not only weakened Russia but also endangered America. Those within the Ukrainian government who ordered these attacks have thus made themselves enemies not only of Russia but also of the United States. As if that were not enough, this unwarranted attack was followed by Ukrainian attacks on the Crimea Bridge connecting Russia to Crimea. I do not believe this latest escalation against Russia’s strategic bombing fleet was sanctioned or coordinated by President Trump. Instead, my assessment is that the Deep State is now acting outside the control of our nation’s elected leadership. I believe these individuals in the Deep State are acting in a deliberate attempt to provoke a major confrontation between Russia and the West, including the United States. The time has come to take strong action against those who abuse their authority as government officials to manipulate our nation’s elected leadership. I grew up in an Irish family in Rhode Island that voted Democrat, and I was only about five years old when John F. Kennedy was assassinated. Our family saw Kennedy as a hero, and not just my family. One of our most beloved presidents, John F. Kennedy, found himself in 1961 manipulated by the then-version of the same Deep State when those forces tried to persuade him to send air force attack planes to strike Cuba after the failed U.S.-backed invasion there, which would have resulted in open conflict with both Cuba and the Soviet Union. In his June 1963 speech at American University, President Kennedy laid out his vision of peace with the Soviet Union, but in doing so, he became an enemy of the Deep State, which, by all indications, retaliated by participating in his assassination five months later in Dallas. The American Deep State is not only a threat to peace but to the president himself.

President Trump has already been subjected to at least two assassination attempts. If there is anyone I believe has the character and love for our nation to free our government from these forces, it is President Trump. After the shots in Butler, Pennsylvania, President Trump demonstrated the kind of personal courage that those of us who served in the military deeply admire. With great affection for the president, I now urgently implore him to once again dare to risk the Deep State’s wrath by taking action to purge the nation’s enemies within our agencies and departments. Removing such individuals from power is an absolute necessity to achieve the kind of peace he envisioned during his campaign and the start of his presidency. When President Kennedy realized he was being manipulated and opposed for seeking peace, he sacked Allen Dulles as head of the intelligence service (CIA) along with several of his associates. I urge President Trump to immediately purge everyone within the government who had foreknowledge of or was in any way involved in Ukraine’s attack on the Russian Federation’s strategic bombers and to proceed by immediately declaring an end to all support for the war in Ukraine. President Trump is right: this is not “his” war. I urge him to recall all overt and covert military and other government personnel from Ukraine. I urge him to ensure these individuals are removed and interrogated by the FBI or the military to clarify any involvement in unauthorized military activities. Every American who has aided and abetted Ukraine’s attacks should be investigated for violations of U.S. law and prosecuted as needed. I also believe President Trump should distance himself from certain Western leaders, such as Germany’s incoming Chancellor Fred Merz, who have acted and spoken irresponsibly regarding the war in Ukraine. If there are countries in Europe that wish to provide military support to Ukraine, that is their business, and they should not be surprised by President Putin’s response to their actions against Russia. If such leaders wish to lead their nations into war by continuing this irresponsible behavior, they must do so on their own. I urge President Trump to also disavow proven warmongers within our own government, chief among them Senator Lindsey Graham. Those who love wars that others must fight are no friends of America and have no right to be the president’s friends. Finally, I urge the American people to stand resolutely and with prayer by President Trump’s side as he cleanses our house and works for the kind of peace that President Kennedy stood for. Peace is not humanity’s natural state. Freedom requires every generation to pay a price. It is time to once again commit our nation to both.
Thus spoke General Flynn. One may agree or disagree with his plea to Trump and how realistic it is, but the information he shares must be taken seriously. Moreover, our team has received similar warnings from other sources, some with contacts in decision-making circles who have already decided to fly their families out of Europe.
One rumor reinforcing these concerns is that the EU plans to force citizens to invest in defense funds by simply confiscating a percentage of their bank account balances. The measure will be presented as necessary and for everyone’s benefit, as well as a good investment, since the money will be returned plus interest “when the war is won.”
There are also signs that the EU wants to shift Europe’s economy to a war economy. Volkswagen is one of the companies reportedly ready to transition to military production to support the military buildup Brussels has signaled. The company’s CEO, Oliver Blume, announced on March 11 at VW’s annual media conference in Wolfsburg that it possesses automotive expertise and is available to advise other producers on manufacturing armored vehicles.

It is understandable that when the automotive industry started producing electric vehicles that no one wants while halting the development of conventional cars, revenues have plummeted. Several automakers are now facing serious problems, and only those targeting affluent buyers with luxury electric vehicle models see a bright future ahead.
It’s the same for the EU, but on a much larger scale, where the EU’s insane Green Deal has caused a catastrophe in energy production, food supply, industry, and the economy at large. We have already seen that Brussels is trying to strengthen its power in various ways, including by increasing its right to impose taxes in areas previously reserved for for member states and by micromanaging the economy with regulations and fees. Transitioning to a command economy justified by war or the threat of war is surely certainly appealing to EU bureaucrats. With a centrally planned economy of a socialist/fascist socialist model, they achieve their long-term dream—and a nightmare for Europe’s people.
Is Trump truly the right person to stop this development? He is undoubtedly better than his predecessors, but his support for the massacres in Gaza is one of the things that casts his presidency in a bad light.
