The feud between President Donald Trump and commentator Tucker Carlson escalated Monday despite Carlson’s “love” for Trump.
“I actually really love Trump. I think he’s a deeply humane, kind person,” Carlson told “War Room” host Steve Bannon early Monday.
But, he continued, the president’s support for Israel’s attack on Iran has the potential to be devastating to the United States.
“I’m really afraid that my country’s gonna be further weakened by this,” he explained. “I think we’re gonna see the end of the American empire. But it’s also going to end, I believe, Trump’s presidency and effectively end it.”
TUCKER CARLSON: The reason I’m speaking out is because if we get dragged into this, we could be witnessing the end of the American empire.
It could effectively end Trump’s presidency.

Trump responded later that evening with a scathing post published to Twitter/X.
“Somebody please explain to kooky Tucker Carlson that, IRAN CAN NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPON!” he wrote.
All this came days after Trump stressed in an interview with The Atlantic that HE is the essence of “America First.” He made the remarks after Carlson questioned his “America First” bona fides.
“Politicians purporting to be America First can’t now credibly turn around and say they had nothing to do with it,” Carlson wrote in his Friday newsletter, referencing the Israel-Iran war.
Trump responded a day later.
“Well, considering that I’m the one that developed ‘America First,’ and considering that the term wasn’t used until I came along, I think I’m the one that decides that,” he told The Atlantic.
Questioned again on Monday about Carlson’s accusations, Trump took a swipe at him over his termination from Fox News.
“I don’t know what Tucker Carlson is saying. Let him go get a television network and say it so that people listen. Thank you,” he said.

Tucker also sent out a newsletter saying Bibi is in charge of the US military.
Sorry TC, Trump is the boss.

Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, a fan of both Trump and Carlson, chimed in on the feud Monday by rushing to Carlson’s defense and laying out why she believes he’s right to be concerned.
“Tucker Carlson is one of my favorite people,” she wrote. “He fiercely loves his wife, children, and our country. Since being fired by the neocon network Fox News, he has more popularity and viewers than ever before. He unapologetically believes the same things I do.”
“That if we don’t fight for our own country and our own people, then we will no longer have a country for our children and our grandchildren. And foreign wars/intervention/regime change put America last, kill innocent people, are making us broke, and will ultimately lead to our destruction,” she added.
She concluded by directly addressing Trump’s “kooky” allegation.
“That’s not kooky,” she said. “That’s what millions of Americans voted for. It’s what we believe is America First.”

In an early post published Sunday, she accused those Trump supporters who support the Israel-Iran conflict of not being “real America First/MAGA.”
“Everyone is finding out who are real America First/MAGA and who were fake and just said it bc it was popular,” she wrote. “Unfortunately the list of fakes are becoming quite long and exposed themselves quickly.”
“Anyone slobbering for the U.S. to become fully involved in the Israel/Iran war is not America First/MAGA,” she added.

The media, meanwhile, have been taking their own sides, with Fox News contributor Ari Fleischer in particular relishing Trump’s attack on Carlson.
Case in point:
The dam has burst on Tucker.
People who didn’t want to tangle with him now know he’s a paper tiger without a podium. His entire career was marked by lurching from one cause to the other with no ideological consistency. He’s a carnival barker and a clown.
