A prominent TikTok influencer was detained and subsequently removed from the United States after an alert from a young political activist regarding the influencer’s visa status.
TikTok star Khaby Lame was detained by ICE at a Las Vegas airport for visa violations after MAGA influencer — and Barron Trump buddy — Bo Loudon reported him, as The Daily Beast reports.
Loudon claims credit
The situation escalated when Loudon, a young conservative influencer and the son of Gina and John William Loudon, publicized his involvement in the incident. He used social media to claim that he had reported Lame to the authorities, describing Lame as an “illegal alien.” According to Loudon, he discovered Lame’s overstay through acquaintances connected in business circles.
Lame had been in the U.S. for the Met Gala on April 30, coinciding with his role as a brand ambassador for fashion giant Hugo Boss. However, the extension beyond his visa terms resulted in the encounter with ICE. Loudon shared his recollection of events in a social media statement and various interviews, emphasizing his role in the proceedings.
“President Trump’s ICE just officially arrested far-left TikToker, Khaby Lame, whom I reported as an illegal alien,” Loudon announced in one of his tweets on June 10, soon after the detainment took place. This statement marked the beginning of his public assertions regarding the incident.
Lame stays mum
Interestingly, Lame himself has remained silent, not addressing the situation publicly. Despite the detainment, he has continued to engage with his audience by posting unrelated video content on TikTok. This suggests a decision to maintain a focus on his platform’s regular content.
Loudon did not shy away from media attention, appearing in a video interview to discuss the actions he took. He elaborated on his role in the incident, explaining, “I called some people in the administration and they said ‘we’re gonna get on this right quick.’” This comment highlighted his confidence in the swift action that followed his report.
Referring to Lame as a “far-left” content creator, Loudon admitted that he arrived at this conclusion largely due to Lame’s alleged views on former President Donald Trump. Nevertheless, Loudon acknowledged he hadn’t actually viewed Lame’s TikTok content prior to forming an opinion.
Immigration crackdown continues
Loudon is known for his strong stance against illegal immigration, as reflected in a follow-up message where he wrote, “Every single illegal alien needs to be DEPORTED.” He celebrated the actions taken against Lame, crediting the so-called “Trump’s ICE” for their fast response.
This event has sparked conversations on social media and beyond, with people reacting to both the specifics of Lame’s situation and Loudon’s influence in the political sphere.
His bold statements and actions have gained attention, aligning him more with the political rhetoric of certain conservative circles.
The incident involving Lame adds to a broader discussion on immigration and visa policies in the U.S. It underscores the delicate balance between personal influence and official procedures in matters related to international visitors and immigration laws.
