Social media accounts for Boelter, age 57, have been taken down.
Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz and other state officials provided an update on the incidents around 9:30 a.m. on June 13, but did not specifically identify a suspect or suspects at that time.
Rep. Melissa Hortman, DFL-Brooklyn Park, and her husband Mark were killed in shootings. Sen. John Hoffman, DFL-Champlin, and his wife Yvette were each shot multiple times but are alive.
Law enforcement officials later urged the public not to attend the “No Kings” protests that were planned to be held in several locations in Minnesota. Materials related to the protests were found in the suspect’s vehicle, according photos and information published by the Minnesota State Patrol.
This is a developing story.
