Contact Your Senators and Urge Them to Defund Planned Parenthood

With immigration riots and military conflicts in the Middle East. Many Americans may have forgotten that the Senate currently has a reconciliation bill it’s considering that would, in part, defund Planned Parenthood.

While most of the nation and the world have their attention turned to hot button political and foreign issues and concerns, pro-life Americans need to continue reminding their senators to vote for the reconciliation bill to help defund America’s biggest abortion business.

That’s the message from Family Research Council Action, urging pro-life Americans to contact senators:

With Congress back in Washington, it is the Senate’s turn to consider the budget reconciliation bill, H.R. 1, sometimes referred to as the “One Big Beautiful Bill.” This historic piece of legislation defunds big abortion, gets taxpayers out of the business of paying for gender transition procedures, and contains several pro-family economic provisions.

Now, the fate of this bill rests with the U.S. Senate. It is crucial that the Senate keep and, where possible, strengthen the many positive provisions protecting faith, family, and freedom in the bill. To that end, members of Senate leadership need to hear from you!

On May 22, the U.S. House Of Representatives passed H.R.1, the budget reconciliation bill that defunds abortion providers and gender transition procedures and contains several additional pro-family economic provisions.

These provisions are in line with the biblical values that unborn life is sacred, that family is the foundation of society, that God created us male and female, and that debt — national or personal — is bondage.

Family Research Council Action supporters generated over 100,000 messages to Congress on this issue, arguing that American tax dollars should not be used to end human life in the womb or inflict irreversible harm on individuals experiencing distress related to their sex.

H.R. 1 is not just another budget bill: it is a bold declaration that America can and must do better for families, children, and the unborn. As Congress looks to cut waste, fraud, and abuse from our national budget, it is high time that we end taxpayer funding of gender transition procedures and abortion providers.

We urge U.S. senators to maintain the language defunding gender transition procedures and abortion providers and act quickly to advance this bill to President Trump’s desk.
