An Air India flight to London Gatwick has crashed near Ahmedabad Airport in India just moments after takeoff while carrying 242 passengers as footage shows an explosion of smoke
‘An Air India flight to London has crashed near Ahmedabad Airport in India as harrowing footage shows thick, black clouds of smoke erupting into the sky.
“It appears there are no survivors in the plane crash,” Ahmedabad’s city police commissioner G.S. Malik said. The aircraft had been carrying 242 passengers and was set to travel to Gatwick but crashed into a residential area called Meghani Nagar in an accident shortly after takeoff from the airport, known officially as Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport.’
