Americans making between $30,000 – $80,000 will receive a 15% tax cut thanks to the Big Beautiful Bill passed by House Republicans, according to a recent report from the nonpartisan Joint Committee on Taxation.
The bill provides across the board income tax cuts, an expanded standard deduction and child tax credit, and a hearty list of pro-growth, job-creating tax relief provisions.
Under the bill, an individual or household earning between $30,000 and $80,000 “could increase real annual take-home pay by roughly $4,000 to $5,000,” according to an April report from the Council of Economic Advisors (CEA).
A 15% federal tax cut is not just a statistic; it’s more breathing room in monthly budgets, more gas in the car, groceries on the dinner table, mortgage payments, and money saved for emergencies.
This type of tax reform benefits individual families and the entire economy. Taxpayers who keep more of their earnings are more likely to spend, invest, and save, working together to create jobs, increase consumer demand, and grow small businesses. This ripple effect will impact every corner of the country, from small towns to large cities.
The CEA projects that fully enacting the provisions in the Big Beautiful Bill, including the 15% tax cut, would result in an immediate wage boost. An average working family with two children could see an increase in take-home pay of $7,800 – $13,300 over the next four years, a major portion of which stems from reduced individual tax rates.
Roughly 60 million households fall into the $30,000 – $80,000 income range, which accounts for 40% of all American tax filers.
Locking in this tax cut means protecting those 60 million households from looming tax hikes and letting Americans keep more of their hard-earned money.
