Quick update: We’re aware of the lag issues and are working on them. Yesterday, we tried a server reset, but that did not appear to be a lasting solution—ditto reenabling caching. The next step is to make sure it isn’t a PHP issue. Provided that update doesn’t work, I’ll move on to testing our plugins.
If it reaches plugin testing, the site will probably appear unusual for a while. So if things look weird–no need to panic. Or, if you do have to panic or want to test things, here’s the post comment thread for you to let loose in.
[Update] I’ve also discovered there are some core server updates that need to be run, so that will be slowing things down for a bit as well.
