While empathy is not necessarily a bad thing, trouble arises once this emotion overrides reason and logic. This is why many leftists tend to be miserable people. Today’s show breaks down how the Left has finally lost the plot.
This is especially true in terms of illegal immigration. So, while leftists believe it’s compassionate to make sure no human is illegal, this logic, or lack thereof, ends up destroying the country. Thus, the left ends up miserable for reasons they could never comprehend.
This is also evident in the culture, and why it’s no surprise that “Much less than half of liberals identify themselves as being mentally well, and it’s more than double who admit their mental health is poor,” Crowder said. “Is it the world’s fault, or is it at a certain point, your fault?”
“At the end of the day, do you think society functions when it’s a bunch of pansexual lesbians with self-reported awful health? Or do you think it’s young men who feel pretty good and just want to be able to enjoy the fruits of their labor?” Crowder said. “Who builds a strong society?”
According to Columbia Magazine:
American adults who identify as politically liberal have long reported lower levels of happiness and psychological well-being than conservatives, a trend that mental-health experts suspect is at least partly explained by liberals’ tendency to spend more time worrying about stress-inducing topics like racial injustice, income inequality, gun violence, and climate change.
“The Democrats need you to be miserable and poor,” Crowder said. “[They] need to make them feel helpless, [they] need to make them feel dependent, and [they] need to make them hopeless, otherwise they won’t vote for you.”
Feminism is also not empowering, despite what the left may claim.
“It strips young women of power. It tells you there is nothing you can do and nothing is your fault,” Crowder said. “What do you think that does to mental health?”
According to the American Psychological Association, “Antidepressant use among teen girls and young women has skyrocketed.”
The [63.5%] increase in the trajectory of antidepressant use by teens and young adults from March 2020 to December 2022 (starting at the onset of the pandemic), compared with February 2020.
The [129%] increase in the trajectory of antidepressant use by teen girls ages 12 to 17 from March 2020 to December 2022, compared with the monthly rate of change from January 2016 to February 2020. For females ages 18 to 25, the average monthly rate of change in antidepressant use was 56.5% over the two time periods.
Use among teen boys and young men stayed the same during and after the Covid-19 pandemic.
“Gen Z men were facing the same problems during COVID as women. One group could handle it; one group could not. That is reality hitting people in the face—and one group not being able to deal with it because feminism and the left’s dogmatic agenda strip young women of their self-reliance, autonomy, and confidence,” Crowder said. “Do we want those results or can we do better?”
