CV NEWS FEED // The outreach program God’s Recipe for School and Family will provide images of the Ten Commandments for every Catholic grade school throughout Kansas City, Missouri.
In 2018, Ed Van Buskirk sold his successful tech company and founded If U Love Me, a nonprofit ministry with the mission “To restore the Ten Commandments in our world of confusion.”
The outreach program of If U Love Me, God’s Recipe for School and Family, provides images of the Commandments for Catholic school children and their families.
Van Buskirk has received full support from Bishop James V. Johnston, the Bishop of the diocese, to reintroduce the Ten Commandments in every Catholic classroom. Beginning this September, Van Buskirk’s program will be used in every Catholic grade school throughout the diocese.
Van Buskirk was overjoyed when he learned that Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry had signed law HB71, which mandates the display of the Ten Commandments in all public school classrooms, as reported by CatholicVote.
He praised the legislators for their bravery in passing the bill. Van Buskirk explained, “Passage of this law signals great hope. Restoring the Ten Commandments to classrooms is a wonderful step in the right direction to restoring these words of God’s wisdom that were taken away in 1980.”
