Former first lady Melania Trump could be headed back to the White House if her husband, former President Donald Trump, wins the November election, but she apparently may not reside there full time.
Melania Trump would likely split most of her time between Palm Beach, Florida, and New York, according to a report from Axios. The former first couple have been living at Mar-a-Lago in the Sunshine State since they left the White House in January 2021.
The report suggests that Melania Trump would visit the White House to attend ceremonial matters, such as special events or state dinners, but would not live there full time.
During her husband’s first term, Melania Trump did not move into the White House until June 2017, reportedly so as not to interrupt their son Barron’s school year. Barron was 10 at the time of his father’s inauguration in January 2017.
While in the White House, she spearheaded several renovations and restorations to parts of the historic executive mansion in downtown Washington.
The most prominent projects at the White House during her time included the revamped tennis pavilion and Rose Garden.
