In recent years, the National Football League has become one of the foremost pushers of the “woke” agenda as leftism consumes every aspect of American culture, and it’s not going to stop.
The days when fans could just enjoy the pleasure of professional sports and not have a political viewpoint aggressively thrust in their faces have passed and what was once a unifying experience for all, has been subverted by race, gender, and sexual identity politics.
This week, one of the league’s franchises, the Buffalo Bills proudly announced that it was sponsoring a team in something called the National Gay Flag Football League or NGFFL.

“We are excited to join the NFL and other Clubs across the league in their support of the NGFFL,” Bills VP of Community Impact Michelle Roberts said on the team’s website. “Through our sponsorship, we are looking forward to expanding the impact of the NGFFL in our community.”
“NGFFL competitions include the Pride Bowl, the Sin City Classic, the Pride Cup, and the Gay Bowl,” according to Outkick.
Just as the league’s product on the field has devolved into a nearly unwatchable product, the NFL has evolved into an entity that proudly promotes homosexuality and has been increasing its outreach efforts to the special community under the tenure of Commissioner Roger Goodell.
The commish marked Pride Month with an interview with Outsports (not to be confused with Outkick) which is a sports media outlet for LGBTQ fans in which he expressed his commitment to the cause, stating that “diversity makes us better,” an Orwellian slogan that belongs alongside “war is peace” and “ignorance is knowledge.”

Outsports notes that “for decades” football and the NFL have been seen as a “bastion of masculinity” but the times have dramatically changed from the days when real men like Dick Butkus, Mean Joe Greene, and Mike Ditka roamed the field, touting Goodell’s transformational approach, which is somewhat rooted in his personal views – his brother is a homosexual.
“After Carl Nassib came out, we partnered with Carl and The Trevor Project on a marketing campaign called ‘Football is for everyone,’” Goodell said, referring to the mediocre journeymen defensive end whose only claim to fame was in publicly announcing his homosexuality.
“Both publicly and privately, I’ve made clear that if any member of the NFL family comes out, we will have their back,” the commish told Outsports, seeming to encourage players to announce that they’re gay, a surefire way to generate glowing media coverage much like the league’s famous mascot Taylor Swift does.
“Diversity makes us better and LGBTQ people continue to contribute to the success of the NFL,” said Goodell, who as the outlet pointed out, “is the most powerful person in American sports.”
Once a proudly patriotic league, the NFL welcomed anti-American on-field sentiment in the form of militant backup quarterback Colin Kaepernick and his disrespectful kneeling during the playing of the national anthem.
Goodell all but officially condoned the militant former San Francisco 49er, and with the election of Donald J. Trump, the protests quickly spread with hundreds of players protesting their own flag, kneeling and thrusting clenched fists with no disciplinary action.
Once the nation was wracked by violent race riots following the death of criminal drug addict George Floyd, the NFL fully embraced the militant messaging of Black Lives Matter, white-shaming fans with its slogans like “END RACISM” painted in end zones that might as well have said “F**K YOU WHITEY!”
The championing of leftist identity politics is just more rubbing of salt into the wound of fans who have watched their beloved sport hijacked by radicals as if the lousy officiating, thug players, poor play, ever-changing rules, an inability to define what a catch is from game to game, let alone play to play, and this year, they’ve changed the kickoff.
Not to mention the Christmas Day screwing of fans thanks to Goodell with the two-holiday games stolen like the Grinch from free network TV and put on Netflix. Ho! Ho! Ho!
It’s not your father’s NFL, that’s for sure, but hey, “diversity makes us better.”
