State Rep. Neil Friske, R-Charlevoix, has found himself in cuffs, possibly charged with a felony.
According to local reports, police responded to reports of shots fired in his neighborhood.
The Ingham County Prosecutor’s Office is now investigating the case to decide if it will press charges or not.
Can’t Do That
According to police, reports came in around 2:45 a.m. on Thursday.
The calls said there was a man with a gun around Forest Road between Aurelius Road and I-496.
Police would not go into detail about what led to the alleged shots fired, but it has been confirmed that Friske was taken into custody related to the call.
Local records show that Friske does own a home in that neighborhood.
After police talked to witnesses in the area, Friske was taken into custody.
This is the last thing Republicans need, particularly in Michigan, where Joe Biden has suddenly taken the lead against Trump in polling.
Trump has had a small margin for the entirety of the race, but that changed in the latest Fox News poll after the Trump conviction.
I would love to say that the poll is an outlier, but I have checked every national and battleground state poll, and Trump has lost ground to Biden in virtually every one of them over the last two weeks.
Trump’s saving grace could be next week when he squares off against Biden in their first debate.
Biden is expected to hole up at Camp David and be out of circulation to rest up for the big debate.
So, think about that… the president of the United States needs to take a week off to debate his competitor for an hour.
This gives you a lot of faith in Biden’s ability to compete with Putin, Xi, and Kim, right?
