Can’t get enough history? Glenn can’t either. That’s why he launched his brand-new podcast series, The Beck Story, giving you “the back story” to the major issues facing us in 21st-century America.
This inaugural season of The Beck Story shows you how a cult of expertise shaped the progressive ideology and continues to drive the left-wing obsession for control. These episodes get to the root of how we got to where we are in America today.
Have you ever wondered why the American left is so quick to “trust the experts?” Where did that slogan even come from? It turns out that “trusting the experts” was a centerpiece of the progressive ideology since its inception. Glenn brings you back to the early 1900s where it all started and traces Progressivism’s development of the social evils that are still plaguing us to this day.
In episode 1, Glenn introduces you to Frederick W. Taylor, an efficiency “expert” with a new concept he called “scientific management.” His concept was later adopted by Supreme Court Justice Louis Brandeis and President Woodrow Wilson to give the nation an “expert” makeover that Americans were not asking for.

Episode 2 exposes Progressivism’s insidious role behind the eugenics movement by telling the story of Madison Grant, a wealthy conservationist and influential progressive, whose book The Passing of the Great Race, was later used by the Nazis. The Führer himself even called it his “bible.”

You won’t want to miss episode 3, airing this Saturday, June 22, which dives into how Woodrow Wilson’s administration used World War I to launch the most severe restriction of First Amendment freedoms in U.S. history. American spies blanketed the nation, reporting to the Justice Department, and carrying out vigilante justice on their neighbors with no legal repercussions. This national nightmare was thoroughly driven by Progressive ideals – mainly, the deception that experts in government knew best how to keep Americans safe.
You can find episodes 1 and 2 of The Beck Story, now wherever you get your podcasts, and look for episode 3 this Saturday, June 22.
